Aluminium Casters' Association (ALUCAST)R, India
Innovative & Creative World of Aluminium

ALUCAST History

The seed for ALUCAST was sown by Mr. H. K. Firodia, then Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Tempo Ltd. in 1988, when in his opening remarks at the conference "Die Casting Technology & Economics" organised by Arkey Conference Service Cell, called upon die casters to come forward on a common platform to find solutions to the problems faced by them. This made ARKEY work towards what came to be known as ALUCAST which was formed in 1995 & registered as Aluminium Casters' Association (ALUCAST)R, India in January 2005.

ALUCAST had its first conference in 1995 at Pune. It has since become a yearly event, held every December. Earlier all conferences were held at Pune. In 1999 ALUCAST moved to Chennai. It is now held alternate years in and outside Pune. So far ALUCAST Conferences have been held at Chennai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Goa.
